Cleveland venture capital firm JumpStart has launched its new NEXT II Fund. This is JumpStart’s fourth venture capital fund. The fund will be a Series A (growth stage, post-revenue) technology fund, with an emphasis on Ohio start-ups in Enterprise SaaS, Health IT, Medical Device, and AR/VR. The fund will be $33 million in size, including $10 million from JumpStart itself and an additional $10 million from the State of Ohio.

Much has changed in Ohio’s technology and venture capital ecosystem over the last few years as demonstrated by several ‘unicorns’ located in Ohio. (venture-backed companies now valued at $1 billion+). JumpStart’s track record of success with identifying and working with our region’s most promising early stage entrepreneurs makes this a compelling opportunity we wanted to share with you.
