Barbara Roman Presented to the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) Women in Law Section on February 6, 2016
Barbara Roman, in her speech to the CMBA Women in Law Section, discussed her background in the legal profession – from choosing the law as her career path to her first job in the Ohio State Attorney General’s office and from managing attorney at UAW Legal Services to her current position as a named partner at Meyers Roman. Barbara explored the critical lessons she learned along the way including the importance of staying true to oneself and the value of competence above gender. She stressed the importance of seeking and maintaining connections and of maximizing personal strengths.
Barbara is a former President of the CMBA (2011-12) with more than 38 years of experience in civil litigation and family law. She joined her friend (and former college roommate), Anne Meyers, almost 20 years ago at what is now Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis.
