Meyers Roman Team Continues to Grow
Partner Gina Bevack-Ciani has joined the firm as the Chair of the Estate Planning Group. She brings a strong background in all aspects of estate planning from simple wills and trusts to very sophisticated plans including qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, special needs trusts and irrevocable life insurance trusts. Bevack-Ciani’s commitment to helping her clients navigate the myriad of planning options is her top priority, and she prepares carefully-crafted, comprehensive plans unique to their individual needs. As a court appointed fiduciary in all surrounding counties, Bevack-Ciani’s work with estate and guardianship cases has bolstered her unique understanding from a client’s perspective. Managing Partner Seth Briskin commented “I couldn’t be more excited to have Gina Bevack-Ciani join MRFL to lead our Estate Planning Group. Her personality, skill set and commitment to client service have helped her transition seamlessly here and I know that she is going to be a valuable member of our team for years to come.”
With almost 40 years of legal and public service experience, Partner Richard M. Bain joins the Meyers Roman Business & Corporate and Civil & Commercial Litigation practice groups. Bain is skilled at interpreting issues, mastering facts and presenting compelling arguments to resolve business, commercial, construction, real estate and employment disputes. Outside of his law practice, Bain is Mayor of Pepper Pike (since 2012) and a tireless advocate for community service projects including Harvest for Hunger. Briskin stated “I am doubly pleased that Rick Bain has joined us at MRFL–first, because he is my mayor, and second, because he brings a wealth of experience, relationships and unique skills to our firm.”
Michelle Gearity comes to Meyers Roman as an associate in the Business & Corporate and Tax practice groups. Gearity focuses her practice on helping clients navigate the complex legal and regulatory tax and employee benefit issues relative to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and business succession planning. Gearity represents clients before the IRS and State of Ohio in audit and collection proceedings, and her clients include start-ups, family-owned businesses, non-profit organizations, executive compensation firms and private equity entities. According to Briskin, “Michelle Gearity brings added depth and specialized knowledge to our Corporate and Tax practices, both of which have been growing over the years–she is a welcome addition to the firm.”
