Governor Kasich Appoints Andrew Thomas to Oil and Gas Commission

On August 23, 2016, Governor Kasich announced the appointment of Andrew Thomas, Of Counsel, to the Oil and Gas Commission for a term beginning immediately (8/23/2016) and ending October 14, 2018.

Andrew has over 20 years of representation experience in all aspects of the oil and gas industry, including mineral rights owners, service companies, producing companies and national oil companies.

As an executive-in-residence at Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Affairs, Andrew administers the school’s Energy Policy Center, engages in energy policy research and provides contact support and sustainability planning for Campus Facilities. Andrew’s research focuses on distributed generation (oil & gas), electricity markets and the energy/water nexus.

Andrew is director of the University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio (UCEAO) and an instructor for the UCEAO Shale Academy. He is a frequent guest journalist for Crain’s Ohio Energy Report and Shale Magazine.
